Meet Robin Holstein

Professional Partner. Creative Maker. West Virginia Native.

Robin’s professional journey began in 1987, but it was in 2007 that she truly took the helm of her career by launching Robin’s Desktop. For nearly two decades, she has provided high-level administrative and strategic support to a diverse range of clients, including business incubators, economic development corporations, technical firms, and political campaigns.

Professional Services & Expertise

Robin is a specialist in precision and reliability. In 2017, she expanded her professional reach by becoming a certified Notary Signing Agent and Reverse Mortgage Signing Professional, offering mobile Notary Public services throughout the region.

Her expertise in the virtual workspace led her to author Think Outside the Office, a guide designed to help aspiring virtual assistants and administrative providers build successful, remote-based careers.

A Passion for “The New Life”

Beyond the office, Robin is a champion of the “upcycle” movement. Her creative venture, Robin’s Upcycle, is born from the belief that nothing is truly waste. Under her hands:

  • Discarded window panes are transformed into elegant photo frames.
  • Vintage frames become functional chalkboards.
  • Old furniture is reclaimed and given a fresh purpose.

This passion for restoration led to a two-year run as a columnist for Two-Lane Livin’ and the publication of her book, Everyday Upcycle.

Author & Homemaker

Robin’s writing extends into the heart of the home. She has authored two Kindle books: 25 Favorite Home Cooked Recipes and Nursery Rhymes My Grandma Told Me, both rooted in her personal heritage and experiences. Whether through her monthly columns for the Kanawha Putnam Ad Mailer or her web-based presentations for women across the country, Robin loves to share what she has learned.

A Note from Robin

“I love my Savior Jesus, my family, my friends, and my pets. Whether I am writing, behind a camera, crafting, or making a home, I find joy in the details. I love the life I’ve been given, and I love sharing that joy with others.”

Why My Background Matters for Your Wedding

You might wonder how a history in administrative consulting, notary services, and upcycling leads to officiating weddings. For me, it is all about stewardship and detail.

  • Legal Precision: As a certified Notary Signing Agent, I understand the importance of legal documents. You can rest easy knowing your marriage license will be handled with absolute accuracy and filed promptly according to West Virginia law.

  • The Power of Storytelling: Through my years of column writing and speaking, I have learned how to craft a narrative. I don’t just read a script; I help tell the story of your love and faith in a way that feels personal and sincere.

  • Creative Problem Solving: My “upcycling” heart means I see the beauty and potential in every situation. Whether it’s a last-minute change at the rehearsal or a unique request for your ceremony, I bring a calm, creative, and resourceful presence to your big day.

  • Professional Reliability: With a career built on serving high-level corporate and economic clients since 1987, I treat every wedding with the professional respect it deserves. I am on time, organized, and fully prepared to lead.
