We have lived in our 960 square foot, modest home for 14 years. I decided this is the year we are doing some simple remodeling.
I painted a small bathroom. Then I decided to work on the kitchen. I purchased the tile in January. Snow shoveling, extreme cold, and helping Mom delayed the the project. Yesterday evening we started on the backsplash.
Clearing my counter is a feat in itself. I am cluttered. Any flat surface is at risk of getting stuff piled up.
The thin coat wasn’t as thin as I thought it should be. The trowel I purchased has bigger notches than recommended. Even with using a small level device it looks crooked.
I hope that the grout will help it look better. We will see. I will probably put a couple touch lights up under the cabinets.
So far, it has been pretty east.
