Today started out pretty good. Gracie stayed in her room all night, without whining. Once Wayne and I were both up and moving around she started fretting. I was feeding the cats first, hoping they could eat in peace.

I adopted Gracie from Big Dogs Rescue. Big Dogs Rescue is a boxer rescue with a mission to save the lives of boxers that have found themselves in shelters across the state of WV.

Today started out with me waking early, fretting just how to rework my mornings to incorporate the needs of Gracie, the boxer. The cats have their routine and they don’t take kindly to sudden changes.

October 14, 2013, is the day Gracie came home! Today, I went to Flatwoods, met with Jessica of Big Dogs Rescue, and brought Gracie home. She is such a good dog. She accepted the seat belt harness with no problems. She climbed up in the truck readily. Mom traveled with me. She kept looking back …
