When it comes to linens, and towels for my guest, I use the rule of three:
- One in use,
- One available for use, and
- One to be, or being cleaned.
For example, sheets. I have 1 set of clean sheets on the bed. One set of clean sheets in the closet. One set of sheets in the laundry or being laundered.
Guest towels, one set for each guest in use, one in the linen closet, and one either in the wash or just coming out of the wash. I use this formula for everything. Can you have more than three, of course. But, three should be your minimum.
