Juggling All The Things

How can I juggle all these things at once?

I got home around 2:30 this morning, after being with Mom at the emergency room for about six hours. She was stabile and would be moved when a bed opened up. I got up around six because the dogs needed out, and fed.

No one started my coffee. I took care of that myself as the Gracie and Jack grunted and gulped every little nibble. I poured the beaker full with the human starting fluid. I measured a cup of cereal and splashed it with milk to help shake the sleepy haze which engulfed me.

Thinking through the things I need to accomplish my mind wanted to shut down. The normal routine of my day was wrecked. The client work has to wait. The house work must happen. Checking on Mom, picking her up, getting prescriptions filled, getting her settled has to fit in somewhere.

Dinner must be prepared, clothes must be washed, cleaning must still happen. While these tasks can be postponed they cannot be neglected. Neither can I neglect my mother. I must find a way to juggle everything to get them done.

In the process I become exhausted. The exhaustion slows me down making it harder to juggle all the things. So I get on my knees and rest in The Lord. I can do all things through Him.
